Kidney Stent - Horrible! Just Horrible

I had a stent inserted on May 17,2016.

Ten days later the I am still experiencing pain and frequent urination, with blood in my urine. This has not subsided, even though I was told that it would.

I went back to work for five days and was in the bathroom 90% of the time... and my job requires me to be one-on-one with my patient, most of my shift. So I had to wear depends at age 34 and pee myself.

I noticed more blood in my urine after my shifts were over. Recently, I woke up with excruciating pain in both of my kidneys and a high temperature, with chills and feeling like I wanted to vomit. I was in so much pain I could barely get out of bed to urinate.

Mind you, I have a 3-year-old and 5-year-old that require much attention. I called my urologist for an antibiotic bladder spasm meds and pain meds. He prescribed me all but pain meds... Mind you, he only gave me pain meds once after my surgery, that only lasted me four (4) days and told me I shouldn't be in pain anymore!!!

When you are a single mom and come home from surgery you're really never able to rest and recuperate. But I think doctors just believe you will be returning home with a husband and family to help out... which I have neither of.

I would never ever get a stent in again and do not recommended this to anyone. The pain from the kidney stone was more tolerable then this.

I should get my stent removed soon... and I'm very excited to get it out but very nervous. I've heard it's painful and some people have even said they still had discomfort and bladder spasms months after it was taken out. I hope that this doesn't happen to me.
