Sroke Within 3 Weeks of Renal PTRA and PTCA
I had 80% and 90% blockage in renal to heart arteries on both sides and the doctor advised PTCA (Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty).
He fitted a metal wire on one side and a balloon on the other.
After these procedures I was given a number of different medications, including PanD, Plavix, Orofer, Folinext, Calpol, Ecospirin, Atorva Nebistar and Lomazep 0.5 (in that order, from morning to sleep time)... Ok with some problems of constipation and gases in my stomach.
On the 5th day I had a fall (from standing to sitting position, not head hitting). However, there was no sign of discomfort in the groin or chest area, so I wasn't too worried.
Then around noon of day 18, I had a mild stroke and felt nauseous and very week. I got my blood pressure checked the next evening, which was 149/79 and the doctor said not to worry, as it may just be an adjustment phase. On day 18 evening again I had a stroke and went unconscious for 2 hours. My blood pressure went to 198/98.
Thankfully, I recovered and through medication my blood pressure was lowered and I felt okay for the next couple of days... CT scan was okay.
But I am really concerned and worry that it will reoccur. How do I deal with this?
The closest medical care center is 150 kms away in Kolkata (West Bengal, India). And every time there is an emergency I need to be rushed to one of these medical centers.
I am very worried and don't understand why this is happening.
