Dave Monteiro is the father of a beautiful teenage daughter named Jasmine. Dave has raised Jasmine alone since she was a little girl. As a single parent, Dave has always done the right thing, and though tough at times, he worked hard to make sure Jasmine had whatever she needed to have a happy, normal childhood.

A few years ago, Dave found out his kidneys were failing. Dave has E.S.R.D. (End Stage Renal Disease), which is a disease where the kidneys no longer function properly. As a result, Dave needs dialysis three times a week as he awaits a kidney donation and transplant.

Not being able to maintain his job, Dave had to go on disability, which we all know, does not cover all day-to-day living expenses. After the transplant, Dave is going to need medical and personal home-care. This is, of course, costly and his benefits will not cover all of these costs.

As a member of local rock bands as Windwood Hollow and Landslide, Dave has been involved with many benefits and fundraisers in the past, doing benefit shows with these bands, including serving as sound engineer for many of the North Attleboro Firefighter’s Kid’s Day Event {an annual event run by the North Attleboro Fire Fighters that raises money for local charities and causes}.
